YouTube Live chatbot and alerts
Use InstiBot with YouTube Live for commands, live-chat moderation, membership alerts, Super Chat events and OBS widgets.
Connect the correct YouTube channel
- Choose YouTube on sign-in or in Platforms. Use the Google account that owns or manages your intended channel.
- Review the connection and start a live broadcast with chat enabled.
- Test a short command in live chat, then test your OBS alert source.
Memberships and Super Chats
Memberships and gifted memberships use subscription alerts. Super Chats and Super Stickers use tip alerts. YouTube follow and raid alerts are not available through this integration.
YouTube chat works during live broadcasts. Replies are subject to message length and API quota limits, so a quiet or offline broadcast is not a useful test of chatbot replies.
If replies stop
- Confirm the correct channel and Google account are connected.
- Check whether the connection asks you to reconnect.
- Check that the broadcast is live and its chat is available.
- If a quota limitation is shown, reconnecting repeatedly will not resolve it; follow the dashboard status and contact support if needed.
