Use a custom bot identity on Kick
Learn how InstiBot’s Kick custom bot identity works, which permissions to check, and how to test it before your stream.
Choose a bot identity
The Name tab in Chat Bot provides the supported Kick custom-identity setup. Follow the account or application connection instructions shown there, and check plan availability first.
A custom display identity does not remove the need for channel permissions. The account that performs moderation must have the required access.
Test before going live
- Finish the connection in the Name tab.
- Grant the selected account the required channel permissions.
- Run a simple command and verify which account replies.
- Test moderation separately, and return to the default identity if the connection is incomplete.
