Chat overlay for OBS: Kick, Twitch, YouTube and TikTok chat on stream
Show your live chat on stream with InstiBot’s chat overlay: badges, emotes, name colours and themes, with chat from every connected platform in one box.
Add chat to your stream
- Open Widgets → Chat overlay.
- Switch on Show in overlay. The chat overlay is off by default.
- Pick a theme, font and size, then use the Test button to send a sample message to your overlay.
- Place it in the layout editor, or copy the widget-only URL under Advanced if you want chat as its own OBS source.
Every platform in one box
The chat overlay shows messages from every connected platform together: Kick, Twitch, YouTube and TikTok. Turn on “Show the platform” to put a small platform icon before each name when you stream to more than one platform.
Kick and Twitch emotes appear as images, animated where the platform provides it. YouTube and TikTok messages are shown as text, and names from those platforms use your chosen name colour because they don’t carry one.
Themes and readability

What is hidden
- Hide commands removes messages that start with your command prefix, so !commands spam stays off stream.
- Hide bots removes listed accounts. InstiBot’s own replies never appear in the chat overlay.
- Messages that InstiBot’s moderation filters remove are taken off the overlay too.
- Subscriber badges use your Kick channel’s badge images automatically; upload your own image for any tier.
Good to know
- Chat keeps showing even when the chat bot is switched off; only commands and moderation pause.
- The overlay starts empty each time it loads and only shows new messages.
- YouTube chat appears only while you are live; TikTok chat only while you are LIVE on TikTok.
- Messages deleted directly on the platform stay on the overlay until they fade out.

Yes, on every plan.
Can I show only my Kick chat?
The overlay shows every connected platform. If you only want Kick, connect only Kick.
