Duel chat game: viewer vs viewer RPG battles
Viewers challenge each other to duels for points. Each viewer has a hero that levels up, finds loot and pets, and fights animated battles on your stream overlay.

How a duel works
A viewer challenges someone with !duel, naming the other viewer and a stake. The challenger’s points are held, and the other viewer has 60 seconds by default to answer with !accept, which stakes the same amount, or !deny. If nobody answers, the duel expires and the challenger gets the points back.
Once accepted, the two viewers’ heroes fight a turn-based battle on the overlay. The winner takes the whole pot, both stakes, with no cut for the channel.
Every viewer has one hero for all InstiBot channels: they design it on the hero page (bot.instinckt.co.il/hero), pick one of eight classes and dress it with items. Level, XP, stats and gear stay per channel: a hero earns XP from every duel here, levels up, gets stat points and can find a better weapon, armor or pet after a win. Winners can also find hero items (hats, outfits, pets and more).
Chat commands
| Command | Who | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| !duel @viewer 100 | Anyone | Challenges a viewer for 100 points each. |
| !accept / !deny | The challenged viewer | Accepts or declines. The challenger can also cancel with !deny. |
| !hero | Anyone | Shows the hero card (class, level, wins) and a link to the hero page, where viewers change their look and spend stat points. |
Heroes and the fight
Each class plays differently. Warriors hit with Cleave, rogues land guaranteed critical Backstabs, mages cast Fireballs that ignore defense, and paladins Smite and heal. Stat points add attack, defense, speed or health.
A win gives 40 XP and a loss 15 XP by default, and each level needs a little more XP than the last. After a win there is a 30% chance to find loot, from a Rusty Sword up to a Dragon Fang; better finds become more likely at higher levels.
Duels are player against player: the pot goes to the winner and the channel keeps nothing. Points are your channel’s own virtual currency. They have no cash value and cannot be bought or paid out.

| Stat points per level | 3 | Points viewers spend on the hero page. |
| Minimum and maximum bet | 10 / no limit | The stake range. |
Set up Duel
- Turn on the points system on the Points page, or switch on “Play without points” on the Mini-games page if you want rounds without stakes.
- Open Mini-games in the dashboard sidebar and switch Duel on.
- Press Configure to change the rules, timing, look and every chat message the bot sends for this game.
- Use the Test button next to the overlay preview to play a practice round on your overlay. Test rounds never move points and never post in chat.
Show it on stream
Duel is already part of your all-in-one overlay, so if that browser source is in your scene there is nothing else to add. The game stays invisible until a round starts and fades out when it ends.
If you want to place the game on its own, copy the overlay URL from the game’s settings page and add it in OBS as a Browser source at the size shown next to the URL. Keep that URL private: it belongs to your channel.
The overlay only shows the result; the outcome is decided on the server with a cryptographic random number before the animation starts. If no overlay is open, the result is posted in chat straight away.
Questions
Is duel on the free plan?
Needs InstiBot Premium. On the free plan the game is shown with a lock and its command stays silent.
Why does the bot say it can’t find the viewer?
The challenged viewer has to be someone InstiBot has already seen in your chat, with enough points for the stake, and not already in another duel.
Where do viewers change their hero?
On the hero page. They sign in with the Kick, Twitch or YouTube account they chat with, pick a class, change colours and wear the items they collected. The look is the same on every channel; levels and gear are yours.
